HaPpY HaLLoWeEn WeEkEnD!!

Tyson flew out AGAIN this weekend!! It's been so nice getting to see him almost every single weekend since he left. And just so you're aware for the next few weekend updates, here is our schedule:
* I fly to Mesa this weekend : just because
* Tyson flies out here November 10th : gets to catch another one of Josh's football playoff games
* Tyson flies out here November 17th : GETS TO go to Breaking Dawn midnight showing with me :)
* Tyson flies out here November 23rd : 5 day HOLIDAY BREAK!
* I fly to Mesa December 2nd : just because
* No visits the weekend of the 9th : Tys has to study for finals
* THEN HE COMES HOME!!!!

I can't believe we are already down to just a few weekends! We only got to be a "real" married couple for about two months, and then, it turned into feeling like his mistress at La Quinta every other weekend.

It's really made me appreciate the time we do have together. Nagging about petty little meaningless things just isn't worth our time when our time has been so limited. It's really pushed our communication skills and we've learned to utilize what resources we have.

PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR TIME WITH YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER FOR GRANTED; YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN THEY WON'T BE AROUND ANYMORE.

*******
Any who, so Tyson flew in Friday after work as usual. We headed straight to Lone Peak for Josh's football game since they're in the playoffs. They were blowing Hunter out of the water; not even a close game. And so, the high school games continue. :)

*******
Saturday, I attempted another breakfast for Tys. French toast, sausage, eggs, toast. It actually didn't turn out too bad; considering I NEVER get to practice cooking for anyone anymore.

My Mom came to take some pictures of Tyson & I for the family Christmas card. We're going collage-style this year since we can never get the whole family together. I love the way they turned out. Considering I don't have my wedding pictures yet (starting to wonder...) I need to fill our picture frames with some current pictures and these are the perfect start.

Later that night, Tys and I went to Thriller! I've gone a ton of times but I still love it! Tyson and I have gone every year since we've dated and surprisingly, he really likes it too. They added a few new dances this year but I wasn't impressed. Too dance-y for the Thriller concept. But, still loved it nonetheless!

*******
Sunday, we spent a few hours with the Bucks. Ended up just going on a walk and pushing Tyson around in a wheelchair - definitely feeling it in my legs today! Then we just chilled at the apartment while I attempted yet another meal and made dessert for my work's Halloween Pot Luck.

I definitely need to learn how to cook meats; I seriously just can't get it right!

Made Cup O' Dirt for the work party. Loved it! They're so festive and very yummy :)

Later, I had to sadly drop Tyson of at the airport... man that's getting old.

******
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! I absolutely LOVE Halloween! The weather has been perfect all October too which has made it even better since Fall is my favorite season.

I had to post a picture of Ryan and Madison's jack-o-lanterns. Haha can you tell which brand Ry is OBSESSED with?

My team at work dressed as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (and the apple and the Witch). It was pretty nice wearing sweats all day :).

After work, I spent the rest of the night at my parent's house. Kinda sad spending my favorite holiday without Tyson. But, my mom was a trooper and watched Halloween with me! I have loved the Halloween series since I can remember - thanks Ry for always being my Halloween buddy growing up :)

*****
Can NOT believe it's already November tomorrow! This year has seriously flown so fast! And it's been AMAZING! Almost time to work on the new Family DVD for 2011. Always fun to relive the year over again :).

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween weekend!!

Philanthropic Memories

Sometimes I'm SHOCKED that I even survived last week.

When I started my job last December, it was CRAZY around the office as everyone got end-of-the-year loose ends all tied up. So when it came time for training camp, I kinda slid under the radar. Well, they finally caught me ;). Not only was I still managing my two specialty teams and 150+ doctors, but I was in training from 8-5 every day! Needless to say I pulled a few 9, 10, and even 11 hour days just to stay on top of things.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Monday, I was able to go back to my sorority for their Philanthropy week. It's been almost 2 years since I was there and it's crazy to think how fast time flies! (time for memory lane)
I*week with the pledge class - P.I.T.A.  P.C.! (25 of us at initiation) 11/08
And this is what's left. So many have graduated and moved on! Love these girls always! (Philanthropy week 10/11)

Big & Little Reveal Day!!

Our Fameree! Alexia is our Big
Not only is Alexia my Big, but we've been friends since we were 6 and roommates at AXO !
Kaniesa is my Twin. (Same pledge class, same Big)
I love those girls and of course with all of that estrogen 24/7 there was drama here and there, but we had some amazing times, great experiences, and shared the sad times as well. But no matter what went on we will always be Alpha Chi Omega sisters.
Peace, Love, Alpha Chi Omega

Wednesday, I was able to meet up with my grandparents at Typhoon at the Gateway. Love them to pieces and it was so much fun catching up with them. Visits are too far in between.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Friday, after taking my training camp tests, I left early for the airport to go see my crippled hubby :). He's still hoppin around with his boot and crutches but at least his pain is manageable.

We were able to catch a flick Friday night! Paranormal Activity 3!
I've been hearing that people either were completely freaked out by the ending or thought it was really lame. I personally thought it was pretty good and went along with the movie. There had to be a reason all the demonic activity was going on right? Well, the ending will reveal it for you.

GREAT MOVIE IF YOU LOVED THE FIRST TWO AND LOVE CREEPY KIDS :D

Saturday, we were able to just chill, get the oil changed in Tyson's car, and hit up the Mesa football game. Unfortunately, they didn't win. It was a pretty close game though! But to be honest, it was nice having Tyson next to me watching a football game :).

Sadly, my flight left earlier today so we didn't have much time together. So, we just went to breakfast then he dropped me off at the airport. Ugh! One more weekend down and only 7 more to go!

LOVE YOU TYS!! Can't wait to see you Friday!! (thx Roxi for flying Tys out here this weekend!)

Coming Home

My Grandpa has written a few books and has asked that I help get the word out about his new one!

He has such an AMAZING life story; I love getting to learn more and more about my Estonian history.

This site will give you some more insight in to his other book(s) as well!

Congrats on another great book Grandpa! You're so talented, smart, and I love you to pieces!

And That's The Game. . .

Well, it was quite an eventful weekend around here that's for sure!

Friday, Tyson FINALLY got to fly out to Utah! He said he loved flying in and seeing mountains. Sorry AZ, your mounds of dirt are no match :). Tyson hasn't been home since he left August 1st and it was the best having him back home.

After running up to my mom's house so she could see him, we met up with his family at Josh's game. Lone Peak (still undefeated in 5A) beat Riverton and Tys loved getting to finally watch Josh play this year.
Tys enjoyed the cooler weather but I was looking for some gloves and a parka by the end of the game,
We slept at the Buck's that night since Tyson and his dad had to get up early to drive to Ephraim for the Snow game. I'd never been to Ephraim before and had only heard it was a small town. So when we ran into this.........
... I thought it was hysterical!! Herding sheep right in front of the campus. As pretty as the college buildings were, I could NEVER live in Ephraim. I'm a city girl, and when the big half-time announcement is that Subway just hit town, I knew it wouldn't be for me lol.
And although the guest bleachers were fit for a small school band, it was fun being RIGHT behind the sidelines.
Watchin the O with his buddy
I had a lot of fun with Jason, Roxi, Haylee, and Roxi's parent's, the Orrs. We all were lucky enough to have some great tan lines by the end of the day as well! (sarcasm BTW; we had one-sided tan lines from the blazing sun!) haha I can't believe how hot it was Friday!

It was an absolutely AMAZING game! Rough first quarter but after that, it was tied the whole way and we even went into over time! Unfortunately we lost 34-37, but considering ALL of the refs were Snow College alumni, we overcame the odds and it was a great game nonetheless.

However, 3 minutes before the 4th quarter ended, Tyson was running towards the game pile and his teammate rolled into him right on top of his right leg. Not only has his foot been giving him problems lately but now, we get a broken fibula.
Tyson's x-ray
Poor Tys was so upset. I went down to the sidelines and they let us know his leg was broken. Tys was crushed. He's out for at least a month, just long enough to miss the rest of the season. So, we got him into my car and I sped off for Utah Valley Regional going about 100MPH the whole way! haha I was terrified we'd get pulled over but we were lucky enough to not see a single cop on I-15!

Thankfully we were only in the Triage Center for about 2 hours. They got him some pain medication, which hit pretty fast thankfully, took the x-rays and slapped a boot on him. They said if he was to break a bone, he got a perfect break. No surgery or anything. Just some Orthopedic check-ups once a week to make sure it's healing properly on its own.
All nice and drugged up :) (some awesome bruises on his arm too)
So, we got Tyson all taken care of, got him some JCW's to cheer him up and chilled at the Buck's for a bit. His buddy Jake Palmer and his wife Lora came over to see how he was doin. Jake plays for Snow and had a great game! After they left, we went up to my parent's house so the fam could see Tyson since it had been so long and they won't be seeing him again until mid-December.

Today, we finally got to just relax. The weekend had seemed so crazy and busy that we enjoyed sleeping in and watching some episodes of Lost. Poor Tys just couldn't get comfortable all night, and his meds just aren't as strong as we had hoped. I actually loved getting to take care of him and be his little nurse. Without a husband around, I feel my wifey duties are just going to waste with no one to take care of.

This old article makes me laugh every time!
I just dropped him off at the airport and watched him get wheeled off through security. It was really hard saying Good-Bye this time. I think because he was finally with me in OUR home, it just made it so much worse saying Bye again.

But, I get to fly out to Mesa Friday. It's the Homecoming game so we'll go watch and enjoy a football-free weekend together. Maybe go enjoy some Paranormal Activity 3!!! I CAN'T WAIT!! Tis the season! :)

**We'd love if you could please keep Tyson in your thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery**

Love you Tys, GET WELL SOON! :*

Updates & Cinematic Adventures

It's been about 2 weeks since my last update... Ma bad!! So, enjoy some pics and brief words :).

These first few are from Alex's Homecoming dinner I set up with my mom; found some extra pictures on my camera.

Hand-made those invites myself
Last weekend I was able to fly out again to Mesa for another home game of Tyson's. Unfortunately there was no W, but at least the offense put about 21 points on the board this time!
After our Sunday movie
We're always able to catch a flick before my flight leaves...
Wasn't in the mood at all for a sad cancer movie, but surprisingly this was a good happy cancer movie. Tys and I were laughing at a bunch of scenes but apparently no one else understood the humor lol.

My parents went out of town to Hawaii last week so Ry, Mad, & I were house sitting. It was a lot of fun hanging out with them; nothing like some sibling bonding :). We decided to watch a horror movie every night in honor of October - THE BEST MONTH EVER!! Unfortunately, I was only at the house Monday-Thursday morning so we only got to watch three.
Creepy classic :)
A really good 4th ending to the series
Ry had never seen it and was on edge the whole time
The only reason I wasn't at the house to help ALL week was because I had the opportunity to meet Tyson in St. George! So, I took Friday off from work and drove down after work Thursday to see him.

Always a great weekend in St. George. I couldn't live there because it's a little boring, but when it's just a weekend get away, it's perfect for enjoying the chill pace.

Another visit to Krave!
We redboxed a few movies while enjoying some college football in between. Still upset with my Utes; couldn't hang on to the ball to save their lives. Ready for the season to be over and for Utah to figure out what a quarterback is supposed to look like.
Loved this the first time! So funny
Not too bad. You'll walk away with a life lesson ;)
Surprisingly interesting!
So happy I had a 3 day weekend with Tyson! I still miss him every single day. But.... Guess who's comin to town Friday??? TYSON!!! He hasn't been here since he left August 1st. He has a game at Snow College Saturday so his coach let him fly in to see the fam for the weekend. CANT WAIT!!
